Music making develops

social skills

The child who finds it easy to make an ensemble with others and can negotiate musical ideas with others is displaying interpersonal intelligence.

It results in them being natural team players, and displaying talents much like a professional musician, such as being able to work together and perform alongside each other. Such children obviously find it very easy to make friends.
