Why Music

For over 30 years, the Philippine Montessori Center Instrumental Ensemble has delved into instruments such as the angklung, the marimba, the temple block. They have gone from performing in local venues such as The Malacanang Palace, The Meralco Theater, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines, to performing in front of international audiences in New York City’s Lincoln Center and Merkin Concert Hall. See one of their performances right here.

Reflect on the inner discipline and character that develops from being in such an orchestra. Read the scientific research that conveys the importance of such exposure.
